Accessibility Statement

Accessibility of this website: the measures taken, known gaps and how to contact us.

Last updated
25 October 2026

celebyzo aims to make celebyzo.org usable on any device, in any browser and with any assistive technology. This statement sets out what has been done, which shortcomings remain and how to report a problem.

Our commitment

At celebyzo, accessible pages are part of everyday maintenance rather than an extra. Each new page and each change of design is checked so that text stays readable, the menu can be used without a mouse and no information depends on a single visual cue. The statement applies to celebyzo.org only.

Known limitations

A number of illustrations are generic, and their alternative text names the subject instead of describing it in detail.

Standards

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. At present this site is only partially conformant: most content satisfies the guidelines, while the points listed below do not. Where a requirement cannot be met immediately, we look for another way of supplying the information.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter a barrier on this website, or cannot obtain information that you require, please inform us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 01865 402 718. It helps if you identify the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days.

Measures taken

Pages are built with semantic HTML: headings follow a single order, lists are marked as lists and links say where they lead. Navigation and content form separate regions, the language of each page is declared, and informative images have alternative texts while decorative ones are marked as such.

Colours are selected so that body text, links and buttons maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background. Font sizes are expressed in relative units, so that text can be enlarged in the browser without content being cut off. Links, menus and form fields can be operated using the keyboard alone.

Preparation and review

The present statement was prepared on 25 October 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
