Work across studios, stages and outside broadcasts
These projects show how our planning, lighting, sound and camera work fits together on real productions. Each entry describes the approach taken and a practical detail that shaped the result.
Compact news studio layout
A floor plan and equipment list for a three-camera news set. We kept sight lines clear for the presenters and routed cabling so the gallery could be rearranged without a rewire.

Remote camera head setup
Remote heads were installed and tuned for a discussion programme. Shading, speed limits and shot presets were agreed with the director before the first rehearsal.

Festival main stage lighting plot
A lighting plot built around the cameras covering the stage. We limited harsh colour shifts and checked exposure levels against the camera operators' feedback at line check.

Front of house and broadcast mix
Separate mixes were prepared for the audience and the broadcast feed. Monitoring was set up so the engineer could check both without leaving the desk.

Multi-day festival signal routing
A signal and crew plan for several stages feeding one production area. Each camera, audio and comms line was labelled and logged so faults could be traced quickly.

Equipment review for a studio refit
A written review of an existing gallery ahead of a refit. It listed what could be kept, what should be replaced and the order of work to limit downtime.

Broadcast Studio Design, step by step
Brief and space survey
We start with what the programme needs: format, number of presenters, cameras and guests. We then measure or review the room so the plan reflects its real height, power and access.
Floor plan and set layout
We draw camera positions, presenter areas and movement paths to scale. You see where cameras can travel, where lights can hang and how crew reach the set without crossing shots.
Gallery and control room planning
The gallery plan places vision mixing, audio and monitoring so operators can see and hear what they need. Cable routes between studio and gallery are shown on the drawing.
Equipment list and handover
You receive a written equipment list matched to the plan, with notes on what is essential and what can wait. We go through it with you before suppliers are approached.
